One of the most valuable resources when you take the entrepreneurial path, is the wisdom and experience of a business mentor. Introducing Afamasaga Jacqueline Teresa Curry, known as Jackie, grew up in Samoa immersed in a family business environment and now thriving in New Zealand. She is the Founder & CEO of Spacific Business Consultancy and has over 15 years of experience being a Business Educator, Business Coach, Business Mentor and Business Consultant for Pacific businesses.
She provides Business Coaching, Business Planning & Digital Marketing services for Pacific SMEs as a service provider for Pacific Business Trust, Business Link Pacific and private clients. She also supports a MSD national service provider to deliver a Business Program, which gives people access to the Business Start Up Grant and Flexiwage under MSD.
Her passion is to empower and support women so they can develop their dream business & have the freedom of being their own boss. With a focus on Pacific women entrepreneurs, Jackie has also been the Lead Facilitator for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Program for The Pacific Business Hub (funded by the NZ US Embassy) for the last 3 years. She is dedicated to fostering economic development within Pacific communities, leveraging her cultural expertise and ability to connect people and organisations.
She provides Business Coaching, Business Planning & Digital Marketing services for Pacific SMEs as a service provider for Pacific Business Trust, Business Link Pacific and private clients. Spacific Consultancy (formerly Business Spacific) was initially set up in New Zealand in 2010 with a focus on the delivery of Business Education & Financial Capability Programs. We have delivered a variety of Business Programs to over 400 Small Businesses & Entrepreneurs from 2011 to 2021 with the majority being Pacific & Māori Businesses and Entrepreneurs in both Aotearoa and in Samoa.
Our current focus is on empowering Pacific Women Entrepreneurs in New Zealand and the Pacific region through Training, Mentoring & Coaching.
Our Principal Consultant, Afamasaga Jackie Curry, led the facilitation of the first cohort of Pacific businesswomen in the AWE (Academy for Women Entrepreneurs) Programme in 2021 ran by The Pacific Business Hub in partnership with and funded by the US Embassy in NZ.
In 2020, she was also a co-facilitator in the HIWA E-Commerce Business Program for Māori & Pacific women with RISE 2025 (Indigenous Women’s Leadership & Coaching Programmes).
This is one of many successful programs and projects that have been delivered and implemented in New Zealand and Samoa by our company.
In 2016 we launched Digital Marketing support services to businesses in Samoa alongside the the delivery of consultancy projects for donor aid agencies, government agencies, local NGOs & sporting organisations in Samoa.
Our clients in New Zealand have included the Ministry for Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE), Pacific Cooperation Foundation (PCF), Figure.NZ, The Pacific Business Hub, Ochre Business Solutions (Māori Education Provider) and RISE2025 Indigenous Women’s Program.
Our clients in Samoa have included Samoa Tourism Authority, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), International Labour Organisation (ILO), Samoa Qualifications Authority (SQA), Bluewave Wireless/ NetVo Samoa, Alopaopao Festival Trust, Tanoa Hotel Group, Sheraton Samoa, Mailelani Samoa, Pacific Ezy Money Transfer, Samoa Rugby Union and other SMEs in Samoa.
Our delivery of specific projects for clients has enabled us to build strong relationships with Government officials, Pacific & Māori Leaders in Aotearoa, Executives (Pacific & non-Pacific), and Pacific communities in New Zealand and Samoa.
